Recently, The Catholic diocese of Yola in Nigeria ordained Rev. Fr. Polycarp Ebuka as a Catholic priest making the youngest so far in Nigeria and possibly Africa. He is just 26 years old. Congratulations Father.

The issue with church growth is not about people coming but retaining those that are coming. This has lead some ministers to do unspeakable things. Some said prophecy retained members but in my years of ministry, I have never see a prophetic church that can boast of having 20,000 members every Sunday for a year. I have see non prophetic church that has 50,000 members for every Sunday for a year and still increasing. Some said, make the church beautiful, most beautiful churches are still empty.The question is how are members retained in a church? The answers is signs and Wonder through the Holy Spirit. Signs and Wonder through the Holy Spirit talks about positive change of story in the life of the church members. People that are jobless got job, barren becomes fruitful, the sick are healed, tenants becoming landlord, family curses are broken,etc. MEANS OF SIGNS AND WONDER THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Heb 2:I. If someone that never saw this event, tells you during the European colonization of Nigeria that one Nigerian man was born of a virgin and called himself the messiah. He fed 5000 people with one loaf of bread and two fishes, walked on water and did many great miracles but he was crucified by the european soldiers because some Nigerian priests did not like him and he rose up again on the third day, ascended into heaven and the messiah promised to come back soon and nearly two thousand years since he ascended to heaven he has not returned to Nigeria. The question now is how did millions of people fall for this fable? Here's a question I'm asking in good faith to believers, how do you differentiate between the word of God and the word of man? Throughout civilization, a vast library of literature spanning aeons, cultures and empires have been written all claiming to be inspired of and containing the will and message of god. Most have been lost in the passage of time, but quite a few remains in the modern times and continues to guide and dictate the daily conduct of millions across the globe. One funny thing about these writings is that despite the bold claim to be the words of a supreme deity, they were all written, compiled by and continues to be propagated by men. God it seems is unable to speak and spread his own ideas. That these writing seems to contradict one another doesn't help matters either. We give all glory to God in the highest for making us withness another year. All thanksgiving and glory be to God. We celebrate God for His love on mankind and for sending His only begotten Son to redeem us and give man an everlasting salvation. We celebrate God for adding another year to our church. General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged christians to get jaw bones of cows instead of guns, stating that they don’t need guns.
